Grin and Beard It by Penny Reid

Boys will be boys or so the saying goes but when you’re a Penny Reid boy, you write your own rules!

Jethro is the eldest of the Wilson brothers and in my opinion he is a walking charm offensive. He is so laid back or is he? Because behind that sexy smile, this ranger has a past that hangs heavy on his heart and while he has tried hard to atone for everything, he still isn’t all that talkative about what happened and why.

But could Sienna Diaz be the woman to have his world spinning on an entirely new axis?

Waylaid as usual, actress Sienna is living up to her annoying habit for getting lost but luck is definitely on her side because this time it is the sexy Jethro that finds her. She might be the talk of Hollywood, but in Tennessee …not so much.

I liked this pair, and I will tell you why, they didn’t beat around the bush, they were proper adults, they had lives that they were comfortable with but saw the connection that they had almost instantly for what it was. The verbal sparring had me in stitches, they were so funny but I think the fact that they were so together helped with that too, it made their exchanges more tenable, more believable. Neither of them was perfect but at least they were normal, quirks and all.

So what else did the book have going for it other than the ensuing romance between Sienna and Jethro, well it had Cletus and he almost blew the pair of them off the page, I cannot wait until he gets his own story, I may need a padded room to read it in.

Billy also made his presence known in the story but I was left with more questions than I would have liked by the time I finished, he’s going to be a complicated soul I think.
