Keys to my Cuffs by Lani Lynn Vale

Finally Loki’s story- I have been hanging out for this since book 2 in the series.

Loki is desperate to get his life back to normal, he is an undercover police officer who has spent so long working in the shadows that he is screaming on the inside for a return to the mundane that would drive most people to distraction.

His distraction comes in the shape of his sexy neighbour Channing, because one look and he is ready to fold.

She on the other hand has longed to make a move on the hunky guy next door but just couldn’t bring herself to be the one to step up to the plate. But one impromptu meeting and the connection is electrifying, they need to be together but life has other plans!

Making plans appears to be a fruitless task but they have to try no matter the obstacles that being put in their way. Loki’s undercover work is the reason for most of their pressure but is the danger that threatens them most, his biggest fear being that his job may cost him what he is craving mast – a future with Channing.

I loved the connection between Loki and Channing, they are very similar in many ways, both fiercely protective and prepared to put whatever is required into making their relationship work. They are so in tune with each other that not loving each other is just not an option.

This story follow much the same lines as previous books in this series and I have to say that only adds to the enjoyment. It is crammed full of all the characters that we have come to love from the previous books but it is also full of the authors usual verve and determination, it oozes mystery and suspense – in fact it has a simmering undertone of violence that rumbles through much of the story and kept my nerves on edge.

Their relationship was my primary concern and I loved the whole scenario that they are embroiled in, it was a romantic thriller – glorious!
