Scandal

I felt schooled after reading this story, in as much as I got a story that gave an accurate and realistic view of what it takes to come out the other side of the horror that is domestic abuse.

While the story covered the topic, I think I would like to point out that it didn’t wallow because it gave the characters, especially Chloe the opportunity to show her mettle.

There was so much emotion throughout the book that I believe that it was always going to be impossible for me to make it through without being reduced to a blubbering mess and believe me when I say that this brought on the ugly tears!

I loved the fact that the book didn’t just give Chloe but also Kip the chance to overcome their pasts. And I especially liked the fact that they brought out the best in each other and that despite her past, the pain that she had been through, she was the encouragement that Kip needed to be the best he could be and boy did he have a whole host of deliciousness just screaming to let loose. He was every bit the alpha that she needed and for her he was willing to be exactly who she needed. Nothing was going to stand in his way, not even himself.

Chloe, Oh Wow! She was every bit the heroine, she would have been well within her rights to shun the world, lick her wounds and write the world off, she had been tormented and it was painful to understand but she refused to be beaten anymore, she was ready to stand her ground, to make her presence felt and boy did she!!

With Kip she was a different woman, she was her own woman and while they had to go through more than most in order to have what they truly deserved, I was happy that they were able to do it with a whole lot of love in their hearts. Together there was nothing that could defeat them.

The story was huge, the writing was intense and the result was a book that was exceptional.
