Holy Frigging Matrimony

Just like the book this will be short but sweet!

Emma Chase – damn woman, you are a genius!!! –When you gave us Drew Evans – you made the world a better place.

I scooted through this short story and chuckled to myself most of the way through – again you seem to be a mastermind of the male mentality and being the fact that the story is told from Drew’s point of view it is bloody hysterical!

The story is the events of Delores and Matthew’s wedding day and with Drew involved it was always going to be a giggle fest.

The whole story is funny – I defy anyone to not laugh their arse off – Drew and Kate in the hotel room at the start – is just so damn funny.

I mean – what is not to love when your guy retorts to you  trying to get him to  leave the room with

 “I don’t wanna go. I want to defile the prestigious Plaza Hotel by having you ride me like a slutty mermaid in the bathtub.”

He had me doubled in pain laughing!!!

I don’t want to say the story was kind of irrelevant but in a way it was just the means used to let me hear Drew’s musings and although it held my attention it was all about Drew.

The plot was secondary to the absolutely brilliant images that were careering through his mind.

Drew’s internal monologue is fabulous – Emma has written him to perfection – he is the man every woman wants and I am sure most men wouldn't mind being a lot like him either.

I mean what man, when faced with their partners previous partner hasn’t thought:

“Yep, still hate him. He’s like genital herpes—he just won’t go the fuck away.”

Fantastic effort Ms Chase – BRAVO!!!!

Rating -Maybe short and Sweet but a HUGE 5 out of 5 - fantastic!!!!
