MURDER GIRL

by Lisa Renee Jones

After reading book one, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this the second in the series, and please note that this is most definitely part of a series so in order to get the most from the story you really have to have read the first book, so if you haven’t then I think you need to jump all over that asap.

Lilah is the type of woman that I want to read about, the sort of get it done gal that took the bull by the horns and was doing everything she could not only to solve the murders that had occurred but also dealing with the fact that those very same murders might force her to travel full circle, that they may have a place in her past and be related to what had previously happened to her … Could it really all be connected?

The whole story felt as if it was a real jigsaw puzzle, a join the dot mystery that the deeper the author drew me into the events, the more I want to be there, I felt ensconced, it was a live second situation and at times I could feel myself holding my breath as the story unfolded.

I liked that I got more of not just Kane but also Lilah and Kane together, the fact that she was willing to have him by her side helping her deal with everything that was happening, the stuff that not only her life but also the case was throwing at her.

What piqued my interest was the fact that despite the fact that could be said that she justifiably had  good cause to keep him at arm’s length, I was curious as to why she was willing to allow him to get so close?

Whilst the romance is present on the story, I would have to say that it isn’t really the main reason I kept reading, it was the mystery that had me hooked, I loved the characters and their connection don’t get me wrong, but I am invested now, I want to know what the heck is going on!

With more to come, I think it is safe to say that there remains plenty to be divulged. I am far from convinced that the conclusions that can be drawn from the end of this book, give any indication as to whether or not the future is going to be anything but a rough ride…there is so much yet to be resolved that I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book to see just how many pieces will slot into place.
