Mistaken Hope by Sarah Elizabeth
The Misjudged Series has been a passage of not only time but emotion for me, I think I fell a little in love with Brandon Taylor when I picked up the first book in the series but I know that after finishing Mistaken Hope that I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this very, very special man.
I can’t tell you the minute details of the book, it would be unfair of me to do so.
You need to complete the journey that you are on with Brandon, Alexis and Holly at your own pace and with your own expectations but what I can say is that this book will leave you emotionally drained.
My heart pounded and my palms were sweating for the majority of the book, as I watched this emotional man being torn apart by the fact that Neil was back and he had Alexis.
I felt the need to stop on a number of occasions to step away and clear my head, wipe my tears and compose myself before continuing their story.
God only knows what Sarah Elizabeth must have felt writing it.
I finished the book and I was left completely numb.
Totally wrung out and ever so slightly miserable but can I say that the ending was fitting, Yes, I probably can because through my tears I couldn’t help but feel a little tug at my soul because I knew that through and despite it all he had found the meaning of his forever.
The book will give you every opportunity to shout, scream and swear at your kindle or e-reader, the frustration is that tangible.
Neil deserves every ounce of your hatred and believe me if you are anything like me you will HATE him!!!
Everyone involved is touched by the drama, Brandon has Rachel to lean on and he would be lost without her.
Alyssa and Ryan are featured prominently and their time in the book is explosive, I was gutted by their news and at the situation that surrounded Ryan and Brandon. Two best friends devastated at the hand of pure evil.
And as for little Holly, she broke my heart, wanting nothing more than to have her mummy back and not understanding where she had gone.
This book will steal your breath away, it will leave you punch drunk and bewildered at what you have just read but it will fill you to the brim with complete admiration for book that is not only fabulously written but one that concludes a series that’s brilliance is difficult to put into words.
I have loved every word and I am sorry that this is the end but I now have Brandon “freaking” Taylor at my fingertips for years to come and I have no doubt that this will be a series that I will revert to time and time again.
I have no rating for this book – because it is worth more stars than I could possibly fathom!
