Lights to my Siren by Lani Lynn Vale
I would put money on the fact that you will start this book, loathing the sight of Sebastian but give him time, it won’t last long and he will have won you over and by the end of the book- you will love him. I know I did.
He takes being alpha to a whole new level, he is alpha from the top of his head to the tip of his little toe and every glorious inch in between.
But life for this glorious guy is far from easy, he is a full time single father to the cutest of little fella’s Johnny , holds down a job that sends his scorching factor through the roof- firefighter no less and to top that he is the VP of the Dixie Warren MC – is that some sort of full hand !!
While Sebastian was enough to hold my attention for a lifetime, Baylee was who made the story sing for me. She was just brilliant.
Paramedic Baylee has her hands full, as if it isn’t hard enough work being daughter to the chief of Police , she has to endure the fact that her brother is on the force too. Two men that have and will stop at nothing to protect her.
She lives life to the full and although she has her issues physically there is nothing that she is not prepared to tackle and boy is she a hoot – she had me laughing my socks off – her quick one liners are just so funny, she pulls no punches when it comes to the sass front – Sebastian needs to get his thinking cap or as this little lady is going to hand Mr badass biker a lesson he will never forget on what it takes to keep his woman happy!
The pair of them are victim to an instant attraction when they meet but both have reason to be cautious, Baylee knows her brother has met Sebastian before and while it may have been many years ago he definitely doesn’t like him. Families – always guaranteed to put a spanner in the works!
With outside influences to take into consideration for them both and a son that is his primary concern, they step slowly towards a relationship. Not that they wouldn’t want to jump straight in but they have to make sure it is right and that means getting to know one another . They have their ups and downs and hurdles that they have to face but when Sebastian plays his cards close to his chest with regards to life within the MC, it all boils down to a matter of trust and whether or not they have the trust it takes to make a relationship work.
I loved the drama and mystery that the book has, it is not all about Sebastian and Baylee, there are other things afoot and another string to the pull of the story. Sebastian and the situation at work was a strong storyline in its own right, I mean they have an arsonist at work and senior management taking inadequate steps to find the culprit, When he take smatters into his own hands and goes to the top, his position in the station suddenly goes from firefighter to acting Station Chief- wow!
This is a charming read, a romance that will nibble away at your heart and a cast of characters that mean that this series is likely to just keep on getting better and better!!
