Soulmate

Having read the previous three books in the series, I was thrilled when Soulmate, book four hit my kindle. This is Sawyers story and although it easily reads as a standalone story, I was secretly pleased that I fully up to speed with the rest of the series.
So, what do I have to say about this book, well rather a lot but I must temper what I want to say with what you need to hear because I really don’t want to give away any spoilers, because you need to enjoy this for yourself.
Anyway, what can I say, well I feel this is best described as a second chance romance. Both Sawyer and Gabi were as close as you could possibly be without being physically involved, they were the very best of friends and whilst Gabi may have hoped for more, she knew that Sawyer had no inkling or desire to be anything other than friends…his aversion to relationships putting paid to them ever having anything more…so she did what she had to do …she left.
Leap forward five years and she is back in town and the old friends have a decision to make…do they keep their distance and leave things as they have always been or do they both rip up their rule books and take a chance on where their feelings are ready to take them?
I loved Sawyer, yes, he was a stick in the mud at times but darn it he was a good guy, Gabi was the woman for him, but getting him to see that was never going to be straight forward…I just hadn’t anticipated that it would take him years to get with the program!
