Chasing Mr Wrong by Joya Ryan
Ryder Diamond (love the name by the way) is a man that likes order in his life, he has learnt from past mistakes.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from him, I was a little worried that he was a little too straight laced, to uptight but I was mistaken because once his motor was running he was a force to be reckoned with.
It didn’t take long for him to find the right woman to start his engine!
Whitney was building herself back up after the death of her sister, he had taken a good hard look at her life and decided to take a leaf out of her sisters book and stop being so contained, it’s time to cut loose.
So on her travels she is doing what she can to make her way around, so a quick stop in Diamond is next on her agenda.
What wasn’t on her agenda was the enigmatic Ryder
But they get off to an explosive start and it never really looked back, they were both just looking for a means of fulfilment, nothing serious but isn’t that often the case… you get what you need and not what you want!
It is not all easy, they have their ups and downs so to speak. And I have to say the author was ultra-creative with her descriptive tones and colourful situations.
This is a standalone and it does read well in its own right but reading the other books in the series would give more details of the other characters that appear in the book.
I enjoyed the story – especially Ryder, I liked the connection between him and Whitney, the fact that she knew just what buttons to push to flip his world on its head!
I think if I had one wish though it would be that the book was just a little bit longer. I missed some background – especially with Whitney.
