Playboy Pilot by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward
This took flight, off the page and never looked back!
Love is two people in the right place at the right time or at least it is with this rip roaring romance. Pondering which direction to take with her life in more ways than one, Kendall is giving due consideration to the options that she has or at least that’s the plan until she is pleasantly distracted by the handsome Carter.
Carter is living the high life, jetting all over the world with women literally at his beck and call, with no ties, no expectations and no regrets but is it all it’s cracked up to be or has the time for a change arrived? His meeting with Kendall brings the questions that have been bubbling away at the back of his brain to the fore and he just might be ready to make a change…but will Kendal be part of that change?
Living by the seat of her pants for once, Kendall follows her gut and Carter as he takes to the skys, finding her way onto the very plane that he is at the helm of, surely fate has plans for this pair?
Together the find themselves in Rio, and not only sharing the adventure they end up sharing a room. I loved the journey this pair were on, they seemed to awaken wants and desires in each other that they had been almost suppressing up until now. They hop around the globe, from their unfortunate adventure in Dubai to the risqué stopover in Amsterdam, they brought out the best in each other…it was only a matter of time before it all came crashing down or was it?
I loved the banter between the two of them, the connection that they shared while not exactly what I would have imagined, it was perfect for them. I adored the refreshing way that they reacted to each other, they were open and accepting, they both had pressures on them but when they were together, all those worries seemed to dissipate.
There were certain parts of this book where I found myself grinning like a Cheshire cat, especially the bingo at the retirement village that had me chuckling like a loon. I felt lulled into an almost romantic coma by the two of them, blissful in their bliss, that I hadn’t anticipated the conflict until it smacked me in the face, I was seething…I knew in my soul that they belonged together but the fly in the ointment was more than enough to have them facing a crossroads that I didn’t want them to be at, I wanted a long and happy road for the two of them and this gave me cause for concern.
Should I have worried, should I have felt hard done by, should I have wanted more for them, nope the author had me covered! They took my fears and gave me a solution, they brought everything I had inside me screaming to get out and provided answers to all my questions. When it comes to Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward I have finally accepted that they will always have my back!
