Creed's Expectations

From the first page ladies, that is all it took and I was completely smitten!

I tried to put it down, honestly, I did, I had a job to do, a house to look after and responsibilities to deal with but I just couldn’t part with it, I was hooked. I’m just pleased that I am a speedy reader because had I not, I think I could have quite easily have been a screaming wreck.

The characters were fabulous, I loved Kasey, she was hapless in many respects, down on her luck after her recent divorce. With nothing to lose she heads off in search of a job, she ain’t going to survive without one, so hitching up her self-respect she is determined to get herself sorted out, little did she know that her good for nothing ex’s brother might just have all the answers.

They bumped into each other at the job fair and fate obviously had a reason for them both being in the same place at the same time because despite the fact that Creed doesn’t pertain to be whiter than white, he has a heart the size of Texas and is quick to give Kasey an opportunity that is just too good to turn down.

Now Creed, may think he isn’t one of life’s good guys but if you look at what is under the surface he isn’t too far off the mark, mind you what is on the surface isn’t that bad either because e he may be a little rough around the edges but damn it those are some sexy edges that he has going on!

I loved the fact that he almost set himself up for a fall, he thought he knew what he was getting into but he couldn’t have been further from the truth because \Kasey was able to worm her way under his tough shell and by the time he realised it was too late…he wasn’t ready to let her go.

 There was just enough angst and attitude and a bucket load of humour thrown in too. I liked that the author didn’t play to the ordinary, she through a few twists and turns in along the way and caught me by surprise on more than one occasion.
