Park Avenue Player

by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

There is something verging on the ninja-like about the way Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland can write a book that will sneak up on you and emotionally beat you around the heart! I seriously began to wonder at times if I would ever stop crying!
There was so much going on that tying down what I need to say has been difficult, and that is namely because I’ve had to pick out the pieces that I can say without giving too much away.
I loved Elodie and Hollis, from the outset their chemistry set the page alight and it didn’t take long for their initial hostility to morph into something altogether more appealing.  They both had a fire in their bellies that meant that nothing was ever going to be straight forward but that was very much a plus point, they brought out the passionate side in each other and I quite simply loved to see that aspect of the two of them. This was a whole different enemy to friends scenario...this was mishap to marvelous!
The love they forged was as tough as steel and I fell hard for the two of them their intensity spoke to me and I think it was because of the way they loved so hard that I couldn’t get enough of them and their story.
This is a book that will leave you with a huge smile on your face, emotionally battered but oh so thankful for every single second that you have spent in the company of both Elodie and Hollis. I felt thoroughly underprepared for the way I felt about this story but extremely grateful for the time that they gave to me.
Oh and by the way...be prepared for the sucker-punch its a belter!
