Everything you said is spot on. I loved everything about these books!
Pivot Line
by Rebel Farris
The cover of the first book was all it took to get me to pick it up, and having finished that read, feeling more than a little mortified that the book had actually had the audacity to end, I couldn’t get my hands on this one fast enough.
Before I start on my review I would like to mention that I have been totally bowled over by the work that Rebel Ferris has produced, I have read two now and they have been quite simply astonishing. The quality of the work and the emotional content and depth have left me practically speechless. I admire an author that is willing to leave nothing to chance, in her quest to ensure that I as the reader had every detail I needed to enjoy the story but that doesn’t mean that she was willing to spoon feed every morsel.
Nope, the creative Ms Ferris was willing to lead me all the way down the path she had determined that I needed to travel but she made sure that I was the one living each and every step.
Picking up straight of the back of the first book, this had so many twists and turns that I seriously considered whiplash might have been a consequence, there is so much going on that you really need to keep your wits about you. The secrets come to light thick and fast and as questions are finally answered…but are the answers what you expect, they weren’t for me I can tell you that!
I loved the characterisation and I also appreciated the part that the secondary characters brought to the story, I have a feeling that there is more to be had from many of those that played their part in all this story had to offer.
I have thought about this and I fail to say what merit a 5-star rating would do for this book, it is worth much more, it was sensational, no sorry scrub that it was great right up until that phenomenal ending and then it became totally sensational!!
