I would suggest that with this you are prepared to be taken on a bit of a roller coaster ride. There were so many twists and turns that I had to make sure that I was paying close attention to what and moreover who was at the centre of each turn that came my way.
I admire Aurora, after all, she had been more than most to get to where she was but there was an occasion where her actions left me a little baffled and searching for reassurance almost. I couldn’t fathom the way she began to act towards Xavier, I mean give the guy a break…
Whilst I got the whole picture with Xavier was under no illusion that he was certainly no saint and so far from being beyond reproach that he could write a new definition, I couldn’t help but find myself rooting for him and his convolutedly wicked ways.
I marvelled at the talent of the author as she took me step by precarious step with them both. I mean there were times when Xavier was treading so close to the edge of being an a$$ that his behaviour was completely addictive!
A complicated pair that held me totally captivated
