Egomaniac
by Vi Keeland
Every book from Vi Keeland has me falling a little more in love with her, this woman is quite simply a mistress of her art!
Each and every one of her guys steals my heart and Drew is no different. I’m smitten!
City newbie, Emery gets more than she bargains for when she meets the rightful owner of her new office space but as if having been conned isn’t bad enough, she the mistress of all things positive when it comes to personal relationships and trying to fix them, but that counts for nothing, now that she is sharing space with Mr Pessimistic, Drew the divorce lawyer, they guy that refuses to allow affairs of the heart to even enter his hemisphere.
How can this pair, the opposite ends of the spectrum possible find some common ground?
I don’t want to go into the detail of the book, it isn’t needed, what you need to know is the fact that this is told with impeccable tack and description, it not padded out with unnecessary fluff and nonsense and doesn’t rely on any unwarranted angst and attitude to keep you hanging, they characters are enough to manage that on their own. I quite simply couldn’t get enough of them and their situation.
I loved that they each had the opportunity to tell the story from their own points of view it gave them each the chance to show you not only who they were and what was important to them but it gave the opportunity to see them as more than a pair, they retained this individuality and their quirks and that was fascinating for me.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is hasn’t been re-read on more than one occasion and is still sitting on my kindle by the end of the year!
